Swim With Mike is an annual swim-a-thon held to raise money for the Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund. Established in 1981, the Swim was scheduled to be a one-time event organized by friends and teammates on behalf of Mike Nyeholt, a three time All-American swimmer, who was paralyzed from the chest down following a motorcycle accident suffered in January of 1981.
Swim With Mike’s mission is to provide financial resources for advanced education that pave the way for physically-challenged athletes to overcome their unfortunate tragedies and realize their full potential! Since its start, Swim With Mike has granted over 199 scholarships with 60 total sports represented and 97 universities represented.
Through this campaign, we hope the Greek community of USC will help raise money for the USC-based swim-a-thon to give present and future recipients the chance to follow their dreams!
