B.S. Economics, Spring 2017

Nick has always been active and started playing sports as long as he can remember. He played high school football and baseball at Notre Dame High School of Sherman Oaks. An ACL tear in a team scrimmage forced Nick to sit out his sophomore football season and he reinjured it during the spring baseball season. In his senior year, he focused on baseball and was selected team captain leading the team to the quarterfinals. During his freshman year at the University of Arizona, he decided to focus on academics but stayed active playing pickup basketball and working out consistently. Three days before he returns to school for his sophomore year Nick suffered a C 6-7 spinal cord injury while body surfing at Zuma Beach. He took a year off from school for rehab and transferred to Loyola Marymount University where he is majoring in economics. He is determined to be successful and says that “athletics helped me to develop a strong work ethic, a resilient attitude, and a disciplined focus.”
