Alum Jacob Rainey to Hike Mt. Kilimanjaro

Jacob and a mix of 12 mostly NFL and military vets, will be hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in February to raise funds to dig additional wells for communities in need in the region. He will be part of the 2026 Conquering Kilimanjaro team, which is the 10th hike arranged by the Waterboys Foundation, founded by Chris Long, NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2018 and 2X Super Bowl Champion.
Jacob said, "There have been some above the knee amputees to summit Kili, but not many, so it will be a great challenge." Part of his training for the hike was done in the Dolomites of Italy last September with his wife.

Ian Malesiewski - No Sad Stories
As a 16-year-old and ascending in the sports of wrestling and football, Ian Malesiewski broke his neck while wrestling at the United States World Team Trials. He went on to complete his junior and senior years in high school in one year, graduate at the top of his class at the University of Miami as a neuroscience major, and was accepted to Harvard Law School.
