Spinal Cord Injury Jamie was injured in an automobile accident at the age of fourteen, four days before she was to begin her first season of high school basketball. Jamie was also involved in volleyball, diving, and track. Despite permanent paraplegia, she graduated from high school, went on to earn an associate’s degree an occupational therapy assistant, and eventually received her master’s in occupational therapy. Jamie is still active in wheelchair basketball.
