Help me raise money for future scholarship recipients.

Kailin Pippenger

To say I’m honored to be selected to receive a scholarship and become part of the Swim with Mike family is an understatement. Not only is this providing me with financial support but it’s also a reminder that people believe in me and my goals. I am also greatly looking forward to being surrounded by a group of people who have similar goals and drive as me. As a result of this scholarship I will be able to continue to pursue my education while competing competitively in CrossFit and pursue my L1 coaching certificate. Through these things I hope to embrace what it means to be a member of the Swim with Mike Foundation and continue the Ripple effect.

As a result of a car accident, Kailin's spine had a displacement of vertebrae T4 and T5. She was diagnosed with a spinal cord injury and paralysis. After graduating from Bainville High School in 2020, she was recognized with the Bulldog P.R.I.D.E Award, recognizing a student who shows positivity, respect, integrity, determination, and empathy. In addition to this award, Kailin was a recognized as the Salutatorian of her class and as a member of the Dean’s List. She enjoys spending time fishing, baking, spending time with her dogs and family, working out, and attending sporting events. She has recently acquired a new interest in cross-stitching. She heard about Swim With Mike while attending a gym in Denver, Colorado. She had the opportunity to workout with another adaptive athlete and fellow Swim With Mike alumni who encouraged her to apply for a scholarship.
