Logan Knuckles

Starting at a young age, football, wrestling and lacrosse were Logan’s sports of choice. As a teenager, he was selected to play for the Commonwealth Kings, a prestigious travel lacrosse team. He could also be found motocross racing on a track. While riding in 2023 he overshot the landing on a jump and the impact caused a burst fracture of T12, severing his spinal cord, resulting in complete paraplegia.  It had been a year since graduating high school and he was working full-time as an erector and welder.

He rehabbed at Cardinal Hill Rehab in Lexington, pushing himself mentally and physically to gain independence and eventually went back to work welding at a shop close to his home. Though his dream was to be a welder with the Iron Workers and later Pipe Fitters Union, he is going to join his twin brother at Eastern Kentucky University this fall to major in Construction Management, desiring to further his career in the trade industry. Logan still loves being outdoors and enjoys fishing, hunting, skeet and trap shooting, and riding his hand-controlled four-wheeler in the hills of Kentucky.
