Molly competed in Cross Country, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Skiing, and Hockey along with her twin brother Mike and her younger brother Andy. As a freshman at Loyola Academy high school she decided to concentrate on cross country and soccer. She played Varsity Soccer her freshman year, and in the summer prior to her sophomore year she made the Varsity Cross Country roster. Soon after, a diving accident left her paralyzed from the chest down. Her coach encouraged her to continue with cross country. She completed her junior and senior season on the varsity team, training and competing with a hand bike. Since her injury she has completed three half marathons. She also stayed involved with the soccer team for her remaining three years at Loyola. Molly is enjoying Stanford University where she is continuing her athletic and academic pursuits with a major in Human Biology. In her Freshman year she worked with Senior Swim With Mike recipient Joe Kay and the Stanford Men’s Volleyball Team on the 3rd Swim With Mike-Stanford. She went on to take the reins organizing the event and helped keep it going after graduation. Molly goes on to study Medicine at the University of Michigan, the third Big Ten school to host a Swim With Mike scholarship recipient.
